Patients
Use Analytics → Patients to review new patient profiles, repeat visits, and patient mix over a selected date range.
Before you start
Each Analytics tab has its own access permission. Ask your clinic admin if Patients is not available to you. The report starts with the current month in the clinic’s timezone. Admins and some assistants can filter by doctor; other users see only records they can access.
The date and doctor filters stay selected as you move between Analytics tabs, and the selected period appears in the page URL. Check both filters before comparing reports or sharing the link.
Open Patients
- Select Analytics in the clinic navigation.
- Select the Patients tab.
- Open the date picker and choose a shortcut such as Last week, or select the start and end dates in the calendar.
- If the doctor filter is shown, choose a doctor or All doctors.
- Wait for the figures and charts to finish updating.
Understand the measures
New patients counts profiles created during the selected period. A new profile may not have a visit yet. The Public patients and Private patients cards split those new profiles by account link: public profiles have no linked patient account, while private profiles have one. These labels do not describe whether patient information is available on the internet. The change indicators compare the selected range with the previous range; a dash means the comparison cannot be calculated.

| Patient lifetime value | The selected period’s issued, non-refunded receipt total divided by the number of patients who paid. This is a period average, not a patient’s lifetime total, and uses the clinic’s primary currency. |
The age and status charts group patient profiles created during the selected period. The age chart includes only profiles with a recorded birth date. Patient activity by period shows new patients by profile type and distinct returning patients for each time bucket. Visit measures exclude cancelled appointments; an included appointment does not have to be marked Completed.
If the figures look unexpected
Check the selected clinic, date range, and doctor filter. Patient profile counts and visit measures use different records, so they may not change in the same way. A loading or error message is not a confirmed zero; wait for the report or retry after an error.
