Prescriptions
Use Prescriptions to save medication templates for common prescription workflows. Clinicians can reuse a template as a starting point, which helps prepare consistent prescriptions without rebuilding each medication list and its instructions. A template is not a patient prescription; review it for the individual patient before issuing.
Find your templates
- In References, select Prescriptions.
- Review the template name, Privacy, Created by, and Last updated columns.
- Use Previous and Next to see more templates.
- Click a template row to review its details. An accessible template may still be read-only if you are not its owner.
Create a template
- Choose Add template.
- Enter a Template name that describes its purpose.
- Use Search medications to find a medication from your available references and select the intended preparation.
- Review its Scientific name, Brand name, Strength and unit, Form, Route, dosage instructions, and Notes. Use Add custom medication when the item you need is not in the reference results.
- Add further medications or remove rows that you do not need.
- Choose Save.
Each medication needs a scientific name. If you enter a strength, the value and unit must be valid. Wait for the medication choices to load before saving. The responsible clinician must check the instructions. Asnan+ does not decide whether a template is suitable for a patient.
Choose who can use it
Clinic admins can turn on Public template to make a template available within the clinic. Other creators save private templates. Public does not mean internet publication.
Only the template’s owner can edit it, and the owner also needs the correct References permission. Assistants see templates for the selected linked doctor and can use only the actions an admin allowed. If a template opens as view-only, ask its owner to update it.
Review the printed layout
Choose Print preview in the editor. The preview uses the clinic and professional details available for the document, together with placeholder patient information when previewing a reusable template.
Check long medication names, instructions, contact details, and the signature area. Update the relevant personal profile or clinic General settings if those fields need correction. A template preview is not a patient-specific issued prescription. To use it in a patient record, follow Prescriptions.
Update or remove a template
Click a template row that you own to open it, make your changes, and choose Save. To remove an unneeded template, choose the trash-can icon at the far end of its row and confirm Delete template?. Review the template name carefully because the removal cannot be undone from this screen.
If a medication is missing from search, check the selected clinic, selected doctor, and medication-list sharing. Add or change the available choices in Medications.
