Procedures
Use Procedures to keep reusable treatment terms and optional codes for care records. Reusing the same terms helps the team record treatment consistently, and a procedure can be linked to a separate fee in Prices. Adding or changing a reference term does not record treatment for a patient.
You need the relevant References permission for each action. Editing a list also requires that you own it or have edit access.
Find a procedure
- In References, select Procedures.
- Select a list from the row of list abbreviations. Hover over an abbreviation to see the full list name.
- Use Search to find a term.
- Use Previous and Next to move through more results.
These lists belong to the selected clinic. Public list makes a list available to clinic members who have the right permission; it does not publish the list on the internet or share it with other Asnan+ clinics. Terms provided by Asnan+ elsewhere in the app are separate from clinic lists.
Create a procedure list
- Choose the plus control labeled Create custom list. In an empty state, choose the offered list-creation action.
- Enter a List name and Abbreviation. Both are required.
- Add a Description to explain the list’s purpose.
- Choose whether it should be a Public list. Leave it private if access should be limited to its owner and selected shared members.
- Choose Add list.
For example, a clinic can keep a separate procedure list for a specialty or a particular type of treatment.
Add or update a procedure
- Select the intended list.
- Choose Add procedure.
- Enter the Name. Add a Code if your terminology uses one; it is optional.
- Choose Add procedure to save the term.
- To update a term, click its row, change the name or code, and choose Save.
Use names and codes that preserve the intended clinical meaning. To remove a term, choose the trash icon at the end of its row and confirm the named procedure.
Share a procedure list
- Select the list. In the row of list abbreviations above the terms table, choose Share (the icon showing three connected dots) immediately after the list buttons. On a narrow screen, scroll the row horizontally if the icon is out of view.
- Use Add clinic member to find a clinic admin or doctor who can receive access.
- Choose view-only access, or enable edit access if the person should maintain the list.
- Choose Save after updating the share list.
The owner keeps full access and cannot be removed from the share list. Only the owner can change Public list. Assistants can use only their linked doctor’s lists and the actions an admin allowed.
Rename or remove a list
Choose Edit (the pencil-in-a-square icon) beside the list abbreviations, after Share, to update the list name, abbreviation, or description, then choose Save. To remove the entire list, choose the labeled Delete list button in the edit dialog’s footer and review the confirmation. Deleting a list removes all procedures inside it.
If edit controls are missing, check the selected clinic and the list’s sharing settings. Ask an admin to check your References permissions. If a search shows no results, clear the search before deciding that the list is empty.
