Exports

Only clinic admins can request and download Exports. An export is a backup copy of the clinic records included in that request. It comes as a ZIP file of CSV files that you can open in most spreadsheet apps to keep or review outside Asnan+. It may include sensitive patient and financial information, so save it only in a private location approved by your clinic.

Choose Settings in the clinic sidebar, then select Exports.

Request an export

  1. Check that the intended clinic is selected.
  2. Choose Create export.
  3. Read Create clinic data export? and review the included data, access, and processing information.
  4. Confirm with Create export.
  5. Wait for Export queued, then find the request in the history.
The export history shows a request's status before a download becomes available.

An export includes patients, records, appointments, invoices, receipts, expenses, and transactions. Uploaded document files and some Asnan+ settings are not included, so keep separate copies of anything your clinic needs outside the export.

Follow its progress

The history shows Status, Requested, Contents, Expires, and Size. Counts appear when the export is ready.

StatusWhat to do
QueuedWait for Asnan+ to start the export. This process runs hourly, so starting can take up to one hour.
RunningLet the export finish. Return later to check its status.
ReadyDownload before the displayed expiry time.
FailedReview the error, then create another export when appropriate.
ExpiredRequest a new export if you still need a download.

The requester is emailed when the export becomes ready. An active queued or running export prevents another simultaneous request for the clinic; wait for that request instead of repeatedly clicking Create export.

Download a ready export

  1. Return to Exports and find the Ready row.
  2. Check the request time and contents so you choose the correct copy of the data.
  3. Use Download.
  4. Save the ZIP and open its CSV files with a suitable spreadsheet or data tool.

Ready files expire after 72 hours. The download action generates a temporary link, so if a previously opened link has expired while the export is still Ready, return to the row and choose Download again.

Only clinic admins can create and download exports. A temporary download link should be handled as private access to the file, not posted in a public channel.

If the export does not arrive

A queued request is not ready to download. Allow up to one hour for it to start, and check the history even if the ready email has not arrived. If it remains stuck, note the request time and status and contact support .

If history fails to load, try again before creating another request. If the row is Expired, create a new export. This file is a data copy, not a restore point; Asnan+ does not currently provide a way to restore or import it.
